title: "Flow"
summary: "Flow's Map, Timeline and Sessions views, keys, labels, the Needs you shelf, Activity history and session actions."
description: "Use Flow in the terminal UI and web dashboard to see every session as a map, a timeline or a list, and act on one."
read_when:
  - "You opened driga top and want to know what Flow shows and which keys drive it."
  - "You want to jump to, stop or inspect one session."
---

`driga top` opens on **Flow** (`0`). The other tabs are Projects (`1`) and
Machines (`2`). `driga web` shows the same three tabs in a browser.

## Three views

| Key | View | Shows |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `m` | Map (default) | A grouped project tree in the terminal; an SVG of projects, leads and workers on the web. More than four workers fold into a `+N` control. |
| `t` | Timeline | Each session's activity over the window, grouped by project. |
| `s` | Sessions | Every session as a sortable list (`S` sorts). |

Timeline and Sessions always reach every session, including folded ones.

Flow shows only stored evidence. Purple spawn links come from a session's
recorded parent; red dashed same-file links need full paths on the same
machine. Tool counts and ticks are labelled **telemetry** and appear only for
real Claude or Copilot tool events. Cost is labelled **retained window**.
Unknown history stays neutral rather than guessed.

## Keys

| Key | Action |
| --- | --- |
| Arrows, `j` / `k` | Select |
| `/` | Find |
| Enter | Open context; Enter again opens a scrollable inspector |
| Esc | Back |
| Tab | Focus the Needs you shelf |
| `y` / `n` | Answer the selected permission prompt (after a short review delay) |
| `J` | Open the session's terminal through its stored jump destination |
| `K` | Stop a local session after you confirm (web: **Stop**) |
| `C` | Copy the resume command |
| `c` | Open [Chat](/guides/chat) with this context |
| `h` | Activity history |
| `M` | Change machine scope |
| `?` | Help |
| `q` | Quit |

`K` rechecks that the target is the same idle process before stopping it.
Sessions on a paired machine must be stopped on that machine.

## Needs you and Activity

The **Needs you** shelf sits above the tree, oldest first, with the same count
as the waiting header. See [Needs you and prompts](/guides/needs-you).

The expandable **Activity** section keeps notification and event history.
Reading never acknowledges anything. Press `x` or Space on an eligible history
item, or run `driga inbox ack`, to acknowledge it.

## From the CLI

```sh
driga flow                 # newest live interactive session's family
driga flow 12 --minutes 240
driga agents --all         # include sessions ended in the last 24 hours
driga agents show 12
driga agents jump 12
driga agents kill 12
```

Hosted sessions idle for more than an hour are hidden from default listings and
counts; `--all` brings back those active in the last 24 hours. Read commands
take scope and output flags such as `--json`, `--machine` and `--project`;
the [CLI reference](/reference/cli) lists them per command. For a live view use
`driga top` or `driga web`.
